Richard Millard
Client Relations and Sports Development Director
- Richard has 15 years experience in local government and leisure trusts and 15 years in delivering services for D C Leisure as a General Manager and Regional Operations Director.
- In recent years he has been involved in many contract extensions and renegotiations for contracts for up to 20 years, which have met capital and or revenue client requirements, service improvements for the customers, whilst recognising the need for continuous improvement to be demonstrated.
- Richard is familiar with many governing bodies of sport, partner agencies, and funding options and is committed to the principles of Sports Development which can enable local authorities to fulfil their role in increasing participation, physical activity and improved health in their communities.
- Richard works with the Business Development team to provide bespoke solutions for specific strategic needs of clients either within existing contracts or for new business. Often this involves links with Health and Education agencies.
- He also supports the role of the Regional Directors, Health and Safety, and Training in particular, to ensure D C Leisure provide a consistent quality service for both our clients and customers.
Richard is also Vice Chairman of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight County Sports Partnership. |
