On the Move to 2010, aims to tackle the problem of rising obesity and overweight levels in Britain. Adopt A School is the first year initiative of the FIA' campaign, On the Move to 2010.
Adopt A School will link health clubs and leisure centres with local schools to tackle the problem of childhood obesity by teaching children about the importance of physical activity and healthy living in a fun and inspirational way!
Adopt A School will be run by the FIA in partnership with Youth Sports Trust
- Adopt A School will provide fantastic local and national PR for the clubs and schools involved
- Adopt A School will help health and fitness clubs establish essential links within the local community
- On the Move to 2010 and Adopt A School will also have positive implications to the fitness industry as a whole
- The schools will benefit from the use of fitness facilities
- Children will have the opportunity to get involved with different activities
- It will help the children to work towards their two hours of high quality PE a week
